Valet Park of America is currently seeking dedicated CDL Shuttle Drivers to join its Hartford, CT shuttle team. These full-time positions offer flexible shifts throughout the day and night, catering to multiple clients across the Hartford area. Starting at an hourly wage of $21.50, drivers have the opportunity to increase their earnings by participating in weekend charters, which provide additional income for those seeking more hours. Full-time employees are also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance after 90 days with a 50-50 premium split, and paid vacation time after one year of employment. A CDL Shuttle Driver at Valet Park of America will have a range of responsibilities focused on ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers while maintaining compliance with federal and company regulations. The role requires excellent communication skills to coordinate with management, other drivers, and lot attendants through radio contact. Drivers are responsible for conducting pre-trip inspections to meet safety standards, recording passenger counts, and filling out necessary documentation as part of daily operations. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the shuttle vehicle by sweeping and removing debris is also essential.

Valet Park of America seeks candidates who are over 20 years old with proven customer service experience and a valid CDL with a passenger endorsement. Additional requirements include a valid medical card, successful completion of CORI background checks, and passing driving tests. Job Duties

  • Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
  • Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
  • Opening and closing doors for patrons
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
  • Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers including radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants
  • Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
  • Recording passenger counts and trip times
  • Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
  • Assisting in equipment set up and break down such as signs and cones
  • Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
  • Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
  • Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations
