Job Description

ABM is a leading global provider of facility services and solutions operating since 1909 with a commitment to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments. With over 100,000 team members and a presence in more than 350 offices across the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations, ABM services over 20,000 clients across diverse industries including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues. ABM's comprehensive service offerings range from janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical, landscape and turf management to mission critical solutions, making it a versatile and forward-thinking company in the facility services sector.

The CDL Shuttle Driver role at ABM specifically involves transporting passengers within the UPS World Port facility. This position requires operating a 40-passenger shuttle bus in a secure, high-traffic environment that includes navigating around moving vehicles and aircraft. As a shuttle driver, the individual is responsible for safely moving passengers to and from designated locations, ensuring the proper use of specialized equipment for passengers with special needs such as wheelchair lifts, and maintaining a clean and disinfected shuttle for every use. Additionally, this role involves performing vehicle inspections before and after shifts to guarantee adherence to Department of Transportation standards and general safety protocols. The shuttle driver must also be vigilant in enforcing safety procedures such as bus evacuation plans and promptly reporting any incidents to management.

ABM emphasizes excellent customer service for all guests and requires the driver to refuel their vehicle and maintain an organized and safe work environment. The role is ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce with limited experience or education, as no high school diploma or GED is required. ABM is also a military-friendly employer encouraging veterans and candidates with military experience to apply, offering them opportunities to transition their skills into the civilian workforce. The company offers a competitive benefits package to its employees, underscoring the value it places on their well-being. Overall, this position provides a stable employment opportunity with the chance to develop skills in a supportive work environment within a globally recognized facility service provider.
