As a CDL Shuttler & Transport Driver, you will be a crucial link in ensuring the seamless transportation of production materials between plant and branch locations. This role is offered as a full-time, 40-hour per week position with a stable 5-day work schedule, providing weekends off for a balanced personal and professional life.
The CDL Shuttler & Transport Driver role entails operating a commercial motor vehicle requiring a valid CDL Class A license, driving interstate routes in compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations. This role requires a responsible, safety-conscious individual capable of handling equipment efficiently to maximize productivity while minimizing downtime and vehicle wear. Your core duties will include ensuring appropriate product selection and safe loading of transport vehicles, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and appearance, conducting daily safety inspections, and adhering strictly to federal hours of service regulations using electronic logging devices.

- minimum 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience for CDL required positions without entry level driver training certificate
- must be at least 21 years of age or older
- valid driver’s license (CDL-A) required

Job Duties
- safely drive an interstate, CDL required, commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all federal and state regulations and company policies
- utilize equipment in a manner to maximize productivity and minimize wear and down-time
- transport product between branch and plant locations according to schedule
- ensure appropriate product is selected and loaded for the appropriate day
- load and unload the vehicle safely and efficiently to ensure proper load distribution and securement
- comply with federal hours of service regulations
- utilizing logs and electronic logging devices as required
- conduct daily pre- and post-trip safety inspections and complete driver vehicle inspection report
- correct minor defects and deficiencies
- top off fluids, bulbs, wiper blade replacement, emergency equipment inventory, etc.
- report unsafe conditions, accident, roadside inspections, and incidents immediately
- maintain cleanliness and appearance of vehicle, inside and out, to reflect UniFirst standards
- perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
- follow all safety policies, HACCP, and medical guidelines
