Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Class B CDL
- Must have Hazmat endorsement or be able to obtain endorsement within 60 days of hire
- Successful completion of Airgas background and motor vehicle check
- DOT clearinghouse verification from previous employers required
- Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 lbs and occasionally lift over 100 lbs
- Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures
- Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace
- Adherence to safety regulations and policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Touch freight delivery experience preferred
- Valid Class B CDL
- Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and document transactions
- Ability to lift 25 to 75 lbs regularly and occasionally over 100 lbs
Job Duties
- Operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle to deliver compressed and liquid gas cylinders along designated routes
- Collect empty cylinders from customers and address inquiries to ensure complete satisfaction
- Record all transactions accurately and obtain necessary customer signatures
- Handle the loading and unloading of all materials
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections noting any issues
- Maintain a professional appearance and serve as a representative of the company during deliveries
