Job Requirements
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver’s License
- safe driving record for the past five years
- valid Medical Card
- available to work scheduled shifts including nights, holidays and weekends
Job Qualifications
- One to two years' related medium or heavy truck driving experience
- excellent heavy truck driving skills
- ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision
- ability to demonstrate proficient use of electronic technology within eight weeks of hire date
- ability to understand and execute work orders communicated via onboard technology
- ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and to understand highway traffic signs and official inquiries
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Operate residential system truck
- empty residential customers' containers or assist helper in emptying
- deliver loads to designated landfills, transfer stations, or recycling centers
- ensure assigned truck is fully fueled and safe to operate
- perform pre- and post-trip truck inspection and submit vehicle condition report
- record time and document changes using fleet routing software
- maintain courteous and professional behavior
- track personal DOT compliance daily
- report moving violations and accidents to supervisor
- maintain valid medical card and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- other duties as assigned
