The role of CDL Service Porter at Transwest is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of the Service Department. This position involves moving vehicles around the Transwest property and handling the pickup and delivery of recreational vehicles, medium and heavy-duty trucks to customers within local areas. This hourly position operates on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule with the first shift timings. Compensation for the role ranges from $24.00 to $30.00 per hour, offering competitive pay for qualified candidates without bonus eligibility. The CDL Service Porter reports directly to the Service Manager and is a crucial part of the team that ensures all vehicles are inspected, maintained, and delivered in optimal condition.

Employees in this role are expected to adhere strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Transwest safety policies, ensuring safe driving practices at all times. The role requires careful inspection of vehicles before and after usage, logging vehicle conditions, and reporting any mechanical issues. Additional duties include road testing vehicles for technicians, keeping vehicle interiors and exteriors clean, and documenting necessary records such as driver logs and shipment authorizations.
