The role of a US Foods Delivery Driver is critical to the company’s operations, serving as the frontline connection between the company and its customers. This position offers a competitive starting pay rate of $29 per hour with weekly pay, and top performers have the potential to earn over $100,000 annually. The typical schedule consists of a five-day workweek from Monday to Saturday, starting between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., with an average of 45 or more hours per week. Drivers enjoy the benefit of returning home daily, making the role ideal for those who value consistent work-life balance.

As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating trucks to deliver products according to scheduled times, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers. You will also handle the unloading of products using equipment such as pallet jacks and two-wheelers or manually, placing goods in designated customer storage areas. Verifying delivery accuracy and obtaining customer signatures is a key part of the role, along with managing collections and payments when applicable. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as this role significantly impacts the customer experience and helps to build strong client relationships.

Physical ability is crucial for this role, as drivers must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy products repeatedly during each shift. You must also be comfortable driving and working in various weather conditions and making frequent stops throughout the day. All drivers are required to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.

US Foods requires applicants to be at least 21 years of age with a valid Class A CDL license issued by their state of residence along with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. A minimum of six months’ commercial driving experience in any industry or three months in food and beverage delivery is required. The ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred and may be required in certain locations. Proficiency in the English language is necessary for effective communication and compliance reporting.

  • Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • must be at least 21 years of age
