Job Requirements
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- Minimum of 6 months of commercial driving and delivery experience
- Clean driving record
- Must submit to pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and dispatchers
- Dependability
- Must provide current motor vehicle record (MVR) and medical certificate
Job Qualifications
- At least 6 months of similar commercial driving and delivery experience
- 2 or more years of delivery driving experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid and current Class A or B Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- Clean and solid driving record preferred
- Ability to follow and comply with all DOT regulations and safety standards
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Dependability
- Must provide current motor vehicle record (MVR) and medical certificate
- Experience operating trucks in various weather and traffic conditions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Job Duties
- Drive a 24-foot Straight Truck long distance
- Use GPS to stay informed on route information
- Read location and road maps
- Deliver a wide variety of cold dairy products to multiple customer locations and collect empty cases
- Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers
- Follow and comply with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety standards
- Secure and arrange loads within the vehicle and manually unload cases of product
- Verify accurate delivery count, inventory, and assurer saleable condition of products
- Complete delivery paperwork including mileage, fuel, and toll expenses and confirm inventory matches shipping documents
- Maintain documentation on computerized handheld device
- Collect money from customers and record transactions on receipts
- Submit daily customer paperwork including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports
- Resolve discrepancies and report issues to management
- Perform pre and post trip motor vehicle inspections
- Complete and submit driver logs and inspection records
- Report any accidents or vehicle issues to supervisor
- Maintain vehicle equipment
- Participate in annual driver safety training and customer service training
- Report accidents and comply with traffic laws and DOT regulations
