The Hatchery Chick Delivery Driver role at Pilgrim's embodies the company's dedication to safety and operational efficiency. The position involves the safe and timely transport of live chicks from company hatcheries to various destinations, ensuring the integrity and health of the birds throughout the delivery process. This role demands regular coordination with hatchery staff, live production teams, and farm personnel to guarantee accurate deliveries, proper documentation, and effective communication concerning farm conditions and load specifics.

Working at Pilgrim’s as a Hatchery Chick Delivery Driver not only requires technical skills in truck operation but also an acute awareness of safety protocols, teamwork, and environmental cleanliness. The role follows a typical work schedule from Monday to Friday, excluding Wednesday, beginning around 6 a.m. and working through until the designated loads are completed, often spanning 10 to 12-hour days. Pilgrim’s offers competitive compensation starting at $30 per hour, along with benefits like vision, medical, and dental coverage after 60 days, paid vacation, 401(k) company match programs, and strong support for career development through continuous learning opportunities.

Pilgrim's commitment to safety extends to thorough background checks, drug and alcohol testing, and verification of employment eligibility, ensuring a secure workplace for all team members.
