Job Description

SRS Building Products is a leading provider in the building materials distribution industry, operating with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Based in Eugene, Oregon, SRS Building Products serves a wide range of clientele by delivering high-quality building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius. SRS Distribution Inc., the parent organization, values diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected characteristics. The company fosters a supportive work environment with competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and career development opportunities. As an employer, SRS emphasizes a culture of safety, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring employees work in a productive and respectful environment.

The CDL Driver & Crane Operator role at SRS Building Products is critical in ensuring the safe and timely transport and delivery of building materials to various job sites. The position requires operating commercial vehicles, cranes, and forklifts while following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety standards. The driver will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate documentation including delivery photos, and coordinate with rooftop loaders to guarantee damage-free deliveries. Moreover, the role involves assessing job sites for potential safety hazards, providing on-site customer service, and supporting warehouse and yard maintenance.

This physically demanding position requires lifting up to 100 pounds regularly, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and safely navigating ladders and confined spaces. All material deliveries occur within a 200-mile radius with no overnight stays, allowing drivers to return home daily. The role demands strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a customer-focused attitude to meet delivery schedules and ensure client satisfaction.

Candidates must hold a valid CDL driver’s license with an air brakes endorsement, demonstrate proficiency in vehicle maintenance and inspection, and have forklift operation experience with certification preferred. Knowledge of crane operations, conveyor belts, and knuckle booms is advantageous. Safety adherence is paramount, and candidates must have a clean driving record with no recent serious violations. Additional certifications such as NCCCO Crane Certification and DOT medical certificates are required or preferred.

SRS Building Products offers a dynamic career opportunity for motivated individuals committed to safety excellence, professional growth, and delivering exceptional customer service. The company provides competitive weekly pay, discretionary bonuses, and an extensive benefits package including 401(k) with company match, medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and employee stock purchase plans. They are dedicated to supporting employees’ mental, physical, and emotional well-being through wellness programs and comprehensive safety initiatives.
