We are currently seeking motivated and engaged Local CDL Truck Drivers to join our transportation team based in East Boston, Massachusetts. This role primarily involves the loading and unloading of galley equipment, driving trucks to various aircraft within local airports, and adhering to safety and sanitation regulations. CDL Truck Drivers at gategroup play a critical role in ensuring timely and efficient operations to support the airline industry's daily needs. Working mainly on local public roads, drivers use their CDL qualifications to handle diverse tasks involving equipment transport and interaction with airline representatives. This position requires individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in varying weather conditions. We offer a supportive team environment and the opportunity to contribute to a company that values every team member’s input and effort. This is a full-time role with a schedule that may include weekends and holidays, and occasional overtime may be required. Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Work assigned schedule including weekends and holidays
- Availability to work overtime when required
- Punctuality and adherence to company policies
- Ability to complete paperwork and administrative duties
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and at heights up to 25 feet
- Compliance with company policies and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Up to one year of experience preferred
- Current U.S. driver’s license
- CDL Class A or B required
- Ability to read and write to complete required forms
- Effective communication skills with supervisors and co-workers
Job Duties
- Load galley equipment onto the truck
- Drive the truck to various aircraft on local airport routes
- Load galleys according to customer guidelines
- Unload dirty equipment and place equipment and trash in designated areas
- Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations
- Interact professionally with airline representatives
- Follow directions and work as part of the transportation team
