The CDL Driver position at SRS is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of building materials to various job sites within a 200-mile radius of the home branch. These deliveries are performed daily without overnight stays, ensuring that materials reach their destinations on time, intact, and with complete inventory verification. The CDL Driver must follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards at all times, highlighting a strong commitment to safety and compliance. This position plays a vital part in supporting operational efficiency by performing thorough vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate delivery documentation, and upholding high service standards through effective communication and customer coordination on-site.

The role requires a proactive approach to assessing job site conditions to avoid hazards and collaborating closely with customers to optimize material placement. Drivers are also expected to provide occasional support in yard operations, maintaining a safe and clean working environment while promoting teamwork among colleagues. Physical endurance is necessary, as the job involves handling heavy materials up to 100 pounds, loading and unloading with forklifts or manually, and working in varying weather conditions.
