Operators must maintain accurate records and inspections paperwork, secure proper permits for equipment movement within the US and Canada, and be proficient in loading and unloading heavy equipment safely. Additionally, performing basic maintenance to keep tractors and trailers clean and in safe operating condition is a vital duty.

The Heavy Equipment Operator must possess strong teamwork skills, communicating effectively with the Logistics Supervisor and other team members to ensure smooth operations. The role demands the ability to work under variable weather conditions and during both day and night shifts, often requiring overtime to meet operational demands. Physical resilience is necessary, as lifting over 75 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and other laborious activities are routine.
