The role of CDL Driver at PALFINGER’s Council Bluffs facility is integral to their logistics and operational success. This position is focused on the safe and efficient transport and handling of trailers within the yard and product delivery to customer sites. The CDL Driver will not only operate commercial trucks but also utilize forklift skills to load, stack, and secure shipments, contributing to the smooth functioning of daily shipping and receiving activities. Reporting directly to the Logistics Coordinator/Loading Supervisor, this role demands a dependable, safety-conscious individual with strong spatial awareness and mechanical aptitude. Candidates will be responsible for maneuvering trailers into precise positions safely, operating forklifts with expertise, and supporting warehouse activities to maintain productivity and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of forklift experience, hold a valid Class A CDL, and demonstrate the physical capability to climb trailers and lift heavy materials up to 100 pounds.

Job Duties
- perform trailer movements including safely backing into docks and positioning trailers within the yard
- operate commercial trucks for local and regional deliveries ensuring timely and professional service to customer sites
- safely operate forklifts to load materials and equipment into trailers
- accurately move and place materials in tight spaces including stacking and securing pallets and bundled goods
- support daily shipping and receiving operations while maintaining productivity and safety standards
- assist with additional warehouse and operational tasks as needed to keep workflows running efficiently
