Job Description

ABC Supply is the largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products in the United States, renowned for its extensive product offerings and commitment to customer service excellence. With a legacy of industry leadership, ABC Supply serves professional contractors, builders, and remodelers by providing top-quality materials ranging from roofing and siding to windows and gutters. The company prides itself on a robust nationwide network of branches, supporting its mission to be the premier supplier in the building products distribution market. ABC Supply’s reputation as a leader is reinforced by its employee-first culture, which has earned it prestigious accolades such as the Gallup Great Workplace Award every year since its inception in 2007, and recognition by Glassdoor as one of the best places to work in the country. This dedication to employee well-being and professional growth makes ABC Supply an employer of choice within the industry.

The role of a CDL Driver at ABC Supply is a vital position that combines professional driving skills with customer service and operational responsibilities. This position offers licensed CDL Class A or B drivers the opportunity to work with a nationally established leader in the building products supply industry. The driver is entrusted with delivering materials safely and efficiently from the company facility to various job sites, ensuring the security and integrity of each delivery at every step. Uniquely, this role allows drivers to enjoy a balanced work-life schedule by enabling them to be home every night, eliminating the challenges of long-haul or over-the-road travel.

As a CDL Driver with ABC Supply, the individual will engage directly with customers in a friendly and professional manner, reinforcing the company’s commitment to exceptional service. The driver will also oversee the setup and maintenance of safe work zones on job sites, complying strictly with all federal, state, and local regulations to guarantee safe and compliant operations. Additionally, the driver is responsible for documenting the delivery process thoroughly using a camera phone system, performing load checks to secure all materials, and cooperating with delivery material handlers to streamline unloading procedures.

Beyond driving, this role occasionally requires warehouse duties including loading and unloading trucks and organizing materials within the warehouse. Drivers will maintain accurate logs and government-required documents in a timely and precise manner. Notably, ABC Supply emphasizes safety and regulatory compliance to protect its employees and customers, ensuring that all trucks meet legal standards before hitting the road.

With competitive benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, a generous 401(k) plan with company matching, and paid time off, ABC Supply supports its drivers’ well-being and financial security. Additional perks such as employer-paid disability and life insurance, employee assistance programs, and flexible spending options further enhance the value of working with this prestigious employer. For individuals looking to grow their careers in a supportive and rewarding environment, ABC Supply offers a unique opportunity to thrive as part of a leading national team dedicated to quality and service excellence.
