Job Description

ABC Supply is recognized as America's largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products. Established nationally, the company has earned a solid reputation for its comprehensive range of building materials and commitment to customer satisfaction. Known for its employee-first culture, ABC Supply has been honored with the Gallup Great Workplace Award every year since the award's inception in 2007. Additionally, recognition from Glassdoor as one of the best places to work in the country reinforces ABC Supply’s dedication to providing a positive work environment that values diversity, professional growth, and employee well-being.

The company employs skilled professionals who are passionate about what they do, fostering a culture that encourages continuous development and recognizes efforts through rewards and advancement opportunities. ABC Supply ensures its employees benefit from a supportive atmosphere that promotes work-life balance, and thus most roles, including the CDL Driver position, are designed to allow employees to be home every night. This balance is crucial for productivity and employee satisfaction.

The CDL Driver role at ABC Supply involves contributing significantly to the logistics and distribution operations of the company. As a licensed driver certified with a Class A or B CDL, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of safely transporting and delivering building materials from the facility to various job sites. This position requires adherence to safety protocols, strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintaining the integrity of deliveries from start to finish.

In this position, you will work collaboratively with the Delivery Material Handler to ensure precise placement and unloading of materials, effectively serving customers with professionalism and friendliness. One notable aspect of this role is that it does not require over-the-road travel, meaning you'll typically operate locally and return home daily, which is a significant benefit for many drivers seeking stability.

The job also involves thorough preparation and inspection of the truck, including securing loads and conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, alongside documentation duties such as logging deliveries with photo evidence and maintaining accurate government-required paperwork. You will issue invoices and manage payments for cash on delivery transactions, which requires a trustworthy and customer-oriented mindset.

ABC Supply values safety, efficiency, and customer service equally in this role and offers a competitive pay rate between $26.50 and $28.50 per hour, contingent on experience and qualifications. The company also extends comprehensive benefits that support employees’ health, financial security, and personal needs, further cementing ABC Supply’s commitment to those who join their team.
