Job Description

ABC Supply is America’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products known for its strong commitment to employees and customers alike. With a longstanding reputation for excellence in the building materials industry, ABC Supply has established itself as a nationally recognized company that values professionalism, safety, and customer satisfaction. The company prides itself on being an employee-first organization, having won the Gallup Great Workplace Award every year since 2007 and being repeatedly named one of the best places to work in the country by Glassdoor. This recognition highlights ABC Supply’s dedication to creating an inclusive, supportive, and rewarding work environment that nurtures talent and allows employees to grow their careers. The company values diversity and actively encourages applications from women, minorities, and veterans, further emphasizing its commitment to equal opportunity and fostering a diverse workforce.

This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, allowing drivers to maintain a healthy work-life balance with no overnight or over-the-road travel required. The role is ideal for licensed CDL drivers who want to advance their careers by joining a reputable company that offers professional driving opportunities while allowing employees to be home every night. As a CDL Driver at ABC Supply, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of building materials to various job sites. Your responsibility will extend from conducting pre-trip inspections to verifying that all materials are safely secured and complying with federal, state, and local regulations, to providing excellent customer service during each delivery. You will work closely with the delivery team, efficiently unloading and positioning materials while maintaining a safe work zone on each job site.

Additionally, this role involves some warehouse responsibilities, such as loading and unloading materials either onto or off trucks or into the warehouse, which requires you to have the physical ability to lift heavy cargo repeatedly, typically bundles of shingles weighing around 70 pounds. The position demands a high level of attention to detail as accurate documentation and photo verification of deliveries are required using modern technology systems. Completing and filing all required logs and government paperwork thoroughly and timely is essential, as is handling the collection of payments on COD deliveries. ABC Supply offers an excellent benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision coverage after 60 days, a 401(k) plan with a generous company match and immediate vesting, employer-paid life, short-term and long-term disability insurance, as well as paid vacation, sick days, and holidays. Overall, this role at ABC Supply provides a stable and fulfilling career path for CDL drivers looking to thrive in a supportive environment dedicated to their professional and personal growth.
