Job Description

ABC Supply is America’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, proudly offering a wide range of quality materials to contractors, builders, and other professionals in the construction industry. With a strong national presence, ABC Supply has built a reputation founded on commitment to customer service, product availability, and employee satisfaction. As an employee-first company, ABC Supply continuously earns recognition for its workplace culture, having won the Gallup Great Workplace Award every year since 2007 and being acknowledged by Glassdoor as one of the best places to work in the country. This demonstrates the company’s dedication to fostering a positive and rewarding environment where employees are valued and supported throughout their careers. The company eagerly welcomes candidates who are motivated, dependable, and interested in career growth opportunities within a well-established national organization.

The position available is for a licensed Commercial Driver's License (CDL) driver who wants to advance their career by joining ABC Supply’s professional driving team. This role is perfect for drivers who want to do what they love and still enjoy the benefit of being home every night without the need for long-haul over-the-road travel. The position involves making both ground and rooftop deliveries, ensuring safe handling and transport of building materials from the distribution facility to job sites. Drivers are expected to maintain high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service throughout their daily tasks.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring every delivery is completed safely and efficiently, adhering strictly to delivery schedules and job directives. You will conduct load checks prior to departure, securing all materials firmly and confirming that your truck complies with all federal, state, and local regulations. Alongside your delivery material handler, you will decide the best placement for materials on job sites and assist in unloading. Documentation is crucial in this role, as you will be expected to document your deliveries by capturing photos with the camera phone system and filing all necessary logs and government paperwork accurately and on time. Customer interaction is a key part of the job; you will provide invoices upon delivery completion and manage cash-on-delivery (COD) transactions when required. Additionally, you may be involved in warehouse activities such as loading and unloading trucks or organizing materials.

This role is ideal for CDL Class A or B licensed drivers who can lift 75 to 100 pounds repetitively, as the typical cargo consists of 70-pound bundles of shingles. Working on rooftops safely is also a fundamental part of the position. Applicants must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings. While conveyor truck experience is preferred, the company provides an inclusive and supportive training environment for motivated individuals ready to advance their careers. Joining ABC Supply means becoming part of a company that recognizes individual contributions, offers competitive benefits, and encourages advancement within a supportive culture. ABC Supply is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity, encouraging women, minorities, and veterans to apply and thrive in their careers.
