The position of US Foods Driver is a crucial role within the organization, responsible for safely delivering food products to customers on schedule while maintaining a professional and customer-focused demeanor. Applicants must have a valid CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications, be at least 21 years old, and possess a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or three months within the food or beverage delivery sector. The ability to operate manual transmissions is preferred and may be required in some locations. Drivers must also be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a federal requirement to ensure compliance with drug and alcohol regulations affecting commercial drivers. Beyond the technical qualifications, successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, able to read and follow highway traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and accurately complete required documentation.
