This particular role focuses on operating within QXO's logistics and transportation area, a vital function in ensuring that building materials and products are delivered efficiently and safely to customers. The role requires candidates to perform touch-freight tasks which involve lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 pounds, demanding a high level of physical fitness and safety awareness. Responsibilities include pre-inspecting trucks, loading materials accurately, and verifying loads, which emphasizes attention to detail and safety protocols. The candidate will also be responsible for inspecting job sites to guarantee a safe environment for loading and unloading, maintaining communication with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries, and following all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Duties

  • perform touch-freight tasks which may require lifting moving or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs

  • set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
  • maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
  • follow all DOT and company safety procedures and always wear appropriate PPE
