Job Description

Everglades Equipment Group, founded in 1963, is a well-established, family-owned and operated full-service John Deere dealership with a strong presence across central and south Florida through its 19 locations. The company has built a solid reputation by focusing on customer service and satisfaction, serving a diverse clientele ranging from large agricultural producers of sugar, citrus, and vegetables to individual farmers, golf courses, nurseries, commercial landscape management businesses, construction companies, and both large and small property owners. With its extensive expertise and broad reach, Everglades Equipment Group has grown to become one of the largest John Deere dealers worldwide, emphasizing quality service and customer trust as foundational pillars of its business operations.

This particular role involves operating vehicles to transport equipment throughout the dealership’s service area. The position requires transporting equipment to and from customers and between dealer facilities, supporting sales teams with equipment deliveries, and ensuring the proper maintenance of the dealership yard. It also includes maintaining detailed records of deliveries and pickups, managing required certifications and compliance with regulatory standards such as DOT and OSHA, and occasionally instructing customers on basic equipment operating procedures. The position demands a high level of responsibility, requiring the operator to properly care for the trucks and equipment assigned to them and to maintain all necessary documentation and certifications to meet company policies and legal standards. This role is critical for facilitating smooth operations within the dealership, enhancing customer satisfaction through timely and safe delivery of products, and supporting overall service efficiency. The employment type is likely full-time and requires a valid CDL license along with a minimum of one year of experience operating semi-trailer trucks. The salary and benefits package is competitive and includes a variety of insurance coverages, paid time off, and other supportive employee benefits designed to promote work-life balance and financial security.
