The role of Delivery Driver at Cowtown Materials is integral to the company's operations and customer service experience. This position involves safely and efficiently operating commercial motor vehicles to deliver building materials to commercial and residential job sites. A Delivery Driver acts as the frontline representative of the company, providing world-class customer service by ensuring all freight is delivered undamaged and in a timely manner. Beyond driving, this job requires inspecting vehicles for defects, loading and unloading heavy materials up to 100 pounds, and maintaining compliance with state and federal transportation regulations. Drivers collaborate closely with both the dispatch team and customers to prioritize safety and effective deliveries. The position demands physical stamina and excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Drivers are expected to demonstrate professionalism, a proactive attitude, and respect the diverse perspectives of colleagues and customers alike. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • minimum Class B license
  • clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
  • ability to lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs
  • frequent lifting and moving of materials
  • ability to remain stationary 40% of the time while driving
  • ability to judge distance operating boom and deliver materials
  • strong communication skills with management and coworkers
  • ability to work in outside environments
  • capacity to multitask and handle stress
  • demonstrates sound judgement
  • must report all accidents
  • able to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • minimum Class B license, Class A strongly preferred
  • clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
  • ability to work independently and as a team player

Job Duties

  • Inspect truck and trailer for defects for safe operation
  • safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at job sites
  • deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer while prioritizing safety
  • maintain records for compliance with State and Federal regulations
  • report all accidents involving driver or company equipment
  • lift heavy building materials up to 100 lbs for loading and unloading
  • provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude
