Job Description

Tucker Materials, Inc., a subsidiary of SRS Distribution Inc., is a respected national building materials distributor based in Greenville, South Carolina. Known for delivering high-quality building products, Tucker Materials plays a vital role in the construction and building industry by ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials to commercial and residential job sites. The company's commitment to excellence, safety, and customer service drives its operations and sets it apart as a leader in its field. SRS Distribution Inc., the parent company, upholds a strong culture of investing in its employees through professional growth opportunities, extensive development and training programs, and comprehensive benefits packages. The organization values diversity and inclusivity, striving to create an equitable workplace for all team members regardless of race, age, gender, disability, or other characteristics.

The position of Delivery Driver at Tucker Materials, Inc. offers a rewarding career path for those who are dedicated, safety-conscious, and customer-service oriented. This role primarily involves the safe and efficient operation of commercial motor vehicles such as flatbed and boom trucks to deliver building materials to various locations as assigned. Beyond driving, the job requires loading and unloading hefty materials, carefully inspecting vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and vehicle operation in line with Federal and State transportation regulations. Delivery Drivers act as ambassadors of the company, providing world-class customer service by maintaining professionalism and positive interactions with clients at job sites. The role also demands physical stamina, as it includes lifting materials weighing over 80 pounds, frequently moving heavy items, and operating equipment in outdoor environments.

This full-time position emphasizes teamwork and collaboration to meet delivery deadlines and operational efficiency. Applicants must hold a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), with at least a Class B license required and a strong preference for Class A holders. Successful candidates typically demonstrate sound judgment, multitasking capabilities, the ability to work independently, and communicate well with both management and customers. The company supports employees with benefits such as health insurance, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plans with company matching, paid time off, parental leave, and more. By joining Tucker Materials, Inc., candidates not only launch or advance their careers but also gain access to an inclusive workplace culture, ongoing training, and opportunities for upward mobility. These factors contribute to a supportive work-life balance and long-term professional satisfaction for Delivery Drivers within the organization.
