Job Requirements

  • Must hold either a commercial drivers license or chauffeur's license appropriate for the vehicle weight
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal or state transportation regulations
  • Must pass DOT physical as trucks driven exceed 10,000 pounds
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to travel frequently
  • CDL drivers may be required to be clean shaven per customer requirements
  • Must pass a 10 panel drug screen as a safety sensitive position

Job Qualifications

  • Must hold a commercial driver’s license or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight
  • Proven ability to follow safety and traffic regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to focus and remain attentive in a busy environment
  • Ability to work effectively with technology for route and load management
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor at delivery points

Job Duties

  • Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing safety regulations
  • Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas following loading crew signals
  • Assist with loading or load and unload goods using specialized equipment when warranted
  • Maintain signed invoices, bills of lading, and other paperwork, delivering documentation to shipping office
  • Facilitate routine service on trucks including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air
  • Report maintenance malfunctions to Shipping Supervisor
  • Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
