Job Requirements
- Must hold either a commercial drivers license or chauffeur's license appropriate for the vehicle weight
- Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal or state transportation regulations
- Must pass DOT physical as trucks driven exceed 10,000 pounds
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab
- Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to travel frequently
- CDL drivers may be required to be clean shaven per customer requirements
- Must pass a 10 panel drug screen as a safety sensitive position
Job Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to focus and remain attentive in a busy environment
- Ability to work effectively with technology for route and load management
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor at delivery points
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing safety regulations
- Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas following loading crew signals
- Assist with loading or load and unload goods using specialized equipment when warranted
- Maintain signed invoices, bills of lading, and other paperwork, delivering documentation to shipping office
- Facilitate routine service on trucks including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air
- Report maintenance malfunctions to Shipping Supervisor
- Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
- Perform other related duties as assigned
