Job Description

SPEVCO is an innovative company that specializes in designing, building, touring, and operating Special Event Vehicles tailored for various mobile solutions such as product marketing tours, mobile education and training, incident command and control, disaster relief, mobile medical services, and more. These vehicles are engineered to offer exceptional engagement and operational excellence for clients across diverse industries. SPEVCO prides itself on a culture of positivity, integrity, and outstanding teamwork, which has earned the company a reputation for delivering remarkable mobile experiences. The company's customers range from educational institutions to corporate and government organizations, reflecting its broad reach and influence in the mobile event vehicle sector.

This particular opportunity at SPEVCO is for a full-time, program-specific Class A CDL Tour Manager position based in the state of Arkansas. The Tour Manager will play a vital role in SPEVCO's Be Pro Be Proud program, which is a workforce development initiative dedicated to exposing high school students in Arkansas to rewarding careers in skilled trades, including commercial driving, welding, heavy equipment operation, and more. As a resident of Arkansas with a Class A CDL license, the Tour Manager will be responsible for traveling throughout the state to high schools and conducting engaging, educational events designed to spark interest and excitement in these career paths.

The Tour Manager’s role is multifaceted and dynamic. The individual will partner closely with SPEVCO's Event Operations team and a Brand Ambassador to produce and execute these high-energy events. They will be trained to professionally set up and operate a unique double-expandable trailer equipped with interactive stations and simulators that help students gain hands-on experience. In addition to driving a tractor/trailer safely to each event destination, the Tour Manager will manage the trailer's setup, run daily operations, and ensure the close-out and packing of exhibits each day. This includes maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of the interactive exhibits.

Beyond logistical duties, the Tour Manager will serve as a key engagement figure, using their positive energy, passion, and communication skills to connect with youth effectively. The program aims to provide a supportive and motivating environment where students can envision new career opportunities through real-world experiences and storytelling. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, typically traveling Monday through Friday, with breaks aligned to school holidays and summer periods.

Compensation for this position includes a competitive salary corresponding to the candidate’s experience, particularly in related industries, alongside a per diem to cover travel expenses. Benefits offered by SPEVCO are comprehensive, covering Medical/Rx, Dental, and Vision insurance, voluntary Disability and Life Insurance options, flexible spending or health savings accounts, a 401k plan with company match, paid time off, and nine paid holidays. SPEVCO values leadership, integrity, and a safety-first mindset in all employees, emphasizing a commitment to client satisfaction and team collaboration.

Applicants must meet specific prerequisites, including Arkansas residency and possession of a clean Class A CDL driver’s license and DOT medical certificate. A minimum of two years of experience driving 53-foot trailers is required, alongside the capability to work well independently as well as in a team setting. Experience with public speaking, client service, and technical troubleshooting are also important attributes. Physical stamina is necessary since the position involves considerable physical activities under various conditions. SPEVCO is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing inclusive and fair employment practices.
