The Shuttle Driver position offers a unique and vital opportunity within PFG’s operations team. This role involves key responsibilities related to the movement of trailers and freight, essential for efficient food distribution across the network. Shuttle Drivers are entrusted with the safe handling and transportation of both empty and fully loaded trailers to and from various warehouse and shuttle yard locations. The job requires driving tandem trailers, tractor-trailers, or straight trucks over intrastate and interstate routes, strictly adhering to DOT regulations and company safety standards.

Performance Food Group values candidates who bring a commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork. As a Shuttle Driver, individuals will engage in pre- and post-trip safety inspections, ensuring that both vehicles and freight are secure and compliant with safety standards. Drivers will also perform critical operational duties such as securement of freight, documentation management, vehicle parking, and the handling of damaged goods or customer returns. In addition, thorough record-keeping aligned with federal and state requirements is an essential part of the role.

The position is scheduled for the night shift, from Sunday through Thursday, with an expectation for variability in start times. Compensation begins at $300 per night, reflecting the importance and skill required for this role. Work in this role also includes the physical handling of freight, necessitating the ability to lift and maneuver products weighing approximately 60 to 90 pounds using equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates.
