Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL A with doubles endorsement
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Compliance with state licensing or certification requirements
  • Clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
  • Available to work Sunday-Thursday night shifts
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug test
  • Pass DOT road test
  • Possession of valid current DOT health card or able to obtain new one
  • Ability to hand-lift and operate equipment to move products weighing 60 to 90 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL A with doubles endorsement
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights
  • Pass pre-employment drug test
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT health card and/or able to secure new DOT health card
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
  • Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure company safety standards are met and take appropriate action
  • Report all safety issues and/or repairs required
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Immediately report all safety hazards
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Ensure all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available upon dispatch
  • Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule
  • Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines
  • Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas
  • Ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured
  • Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers to bring back to base facility and complete necessary paperwork
  • Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clean
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
