With a dedicated team of sales representatives, chefs, consultants, and experts, the company builds strong relationships with each client. This collaborative approach enables Performance Foodservice to offer tailored advice on menu development, product selection, operational strategies, and overall business improvement. The company is not just a food supplier; it strives to empower independent restaurant owners and food service operators to achieve their goals by delivering exceptional products and valuable industry insights.
The driving position at Performance Foodservice is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the food supply chain across the United States. Delivery drivers play an essential role in ensuring that food and related products arrive safely, on time, and in perfect condition. This position involves operating tractor trailers or straight trucks for local, intrastate, interstate, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop routes. Drivers represent the face of the company to customers and are responsible for fostering lasting relationships through professionalism, reliability, and excellent service.
As a driver, you will work primarily Monday through Friday with occasional start times between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM, depending on operational needs. Shifts typically range from 11 to 14 hours, offering a competitive hourly wage starting at $36.42 plus daily overtime. The role demands strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies to ensure safe and efficient delivery operations. Drivers will handle the loading and unloading of products, conduct safety and vehicle inspections, complete accurate paperwork, and provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
Performance Foodservice values a safe and inclusive working environment that fosters a culture of rewards, recognition, and respect. Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes day-one health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and numerous opportunities for growth within the company. Drivers are empowered to perform essential work that supports America’s food distribution system, contributing directly to the availability of fresh and safe food products in communities nationwide.
This delivery driver opportunity is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, have a strong commitment to safety and customer service, and enjoy being part of a dedicated team that plays an integral role in the food supply chain. By joining Performance Foodservice, drivers become part of a reputable organization that values diversity, equal opportunity, and career advancement, making it not just a job, but a long-term career path with rewarding challenges and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.
