This role is a full-time, benefits-eligible CDL Class A Driver opportunity with a competitive hourly wage of $33.85 and a $10,000 signing bonus. As a CDL Class A Driver at Dawn Foods, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of bakery products from the distribution centers to numerous customer locations. Your primary responsibility will be to operate tractor-trailers, adhering to all federal, state, and local laws and safety regulations, including DOT rules. This position requires direct interaction with customers, where you will represent Dawn Foods in a professional and friendly manner. You will be delivering and unloading products, often using equipment such as electric pallet jacks and lift gates, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and product handling meets company standards.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with an average of 40 hours per week, and start times ranging between 2:00 am and 5:00 am depending on the route. Although weekend work may occasionally be required, the routes will not exceed the Department of Transportation maximum driving hours. Drivers should also expect to have one to two overnight layover routes weekly.

Physical demands include the ability to lift over 50 pounds consistently and maneuver heavy equipment. Drivers may be exposed to various environmental elements including temperature extremes, dirt, odors, and allergens such as peanut products, dairy, and gluten. The job environment consists mostly of outdoor work and vehicle operation monitored by GPS and video. Comfort with operating multi-temperature trailers and maintaining requirements related to reefer units is essential.
