The company prides itself on delivering customized distribution solutions tailored to the unique needs of these clients, offering centralized contact for product lines, menu changes, and account coordination. Serving customers not only across the United States but also in over 40 countries worldwide, PFG Customized Distribution has established a reputation for excellence in the foodservice distribution industry. Their commitment to quality, reliability, and personalized service makes them a vital player in maintaining the food supply chains for major restaurant brands.
This opportunity is for the position of CDL-A Driver within PFG Customized Distribution, where the employee will play a critical role in the company's supply chain operations. The CDL-A Driver is responsible for safely operating a tractor trailer or straight truck across intrastate and interstate routes, including shuttle, overnight, drive and drop, and over-the-road delivery routes. The role demands adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety guidelines to ensure that food and food-related products arrive at customer destinations on time, in good condition, and with a professional customer service approach.
The position offers a minimum weekly guaranteed pay of $1,350 with an average annual income ranging between $70,000 and $80,000, along with a $7,500 sign-on bonus (terms apply). The schedule involves working at least four days per week with dispatch times varying between 7 pm and 3 am. This position involves team driving to support efficient and safe delivery operations.
Beyond competitive pay, the company provides extensive benefits starting from day one, including health and wellness coverage, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and continuous opportunities for career growth. The work environment emphasizes safety, inclusiveness, and a culture of recognition and respect, which supports a rewarding employment experience.
The CDL-A Driver acts as the face of PFG Customized Distribution, delivering not just products but also excellent customer service by fostering lasting relationships with customers. Responsibilities include performing safety inspections on vehicles and trailers, verifying shipments, completing accurate paperwork, loading and unloading freight, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Drivers must also maintain cleanliness and security of equipment and provide accurate records of hours of service. The role requires the physical capability to handle freight ranging from 10 to 90 pounds and the ability to operate supporting equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates.
This role demands professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to uphold the standards of the company while contributing to the essential function of supporting America’s food distribution system. PFG Customized Distribution invites applicants who meet the mandatory qualifications to join their team and become an integral part of a well-established and respected organization in the logistics and foodservice industry.
