The Driver Trainee role at Performance Food Group represents an essential entry-level position within the company’s logistics and distribution network. This position offers a competitive earning potential of up to $90,000 annually, along with a favorable work schedule that includes a 4-day work week and shift dispatch times between 2:30 AM and 5:30 AM. As a Driver Trainee, individuals will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to teach them the skills needed to safely operate tractor trailers or straight trucks in intrastate and interstate environments. The routes vary from local deliveries to over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight assignments, providing trainees with broad exposure to different facets of transportation and logistics.

The role’s primary goal is to ensure timely and safe delivery of food and related products to customers. Trainees will be responsible for learning and adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies on safety and performance.
