Job Requirements
- clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test
- pass road test
- attain or have valid current DOT health card
- able to hand-lift and use equipment to move product cases freight ranging from 60 to 90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED or equivalent
- six months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL A license
- must be 21 years of age or older
- meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
Job Duties
- attend and successfully complete entry level driver trainee or dock to driver training program
- ride with and assist driver trainer in executing deliveries
- perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections
- follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
- inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight and complete accurate paperwork
- drive to and deliver customer orders according to route schedule
- unload products and verify deliveries with customers
- secure trailer and tractor at all times
- unload damaged goods and complete necessary paperwork
- maintain daily hours of service logs
- perform general housekeeping duties and secure equipment at end of shift
- perform other related duties as assigned
