Job Description
Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), established in 2006, is a leading custom last-mile distribution company specializing in tailored logistics solutions for the foodservice industry. As a proud subsidiary of Golden State Foods (GSF), QCD is headquartered in Frisco, Texas, and operates an extensive network of 25 strategically located distribution centers across the United States. The company is responsible for facilitating over 37,000 weekly deliveries, serving thousands of restaurants nationwide. QCD's fleet collectively drives more than 40 million miles annually. Beyond logistics, QCD associates actively participate in running the GSF Foundation, a national non-profit organization, reinforcing the company’s commitment to community and social responsibility.
QCD distinguishes itself by creating a people-centric culture focused on development, shared success, and workplace inclusivity. The company fosters career advancement with comprehensive training programs, clearly defined pathways from entry-level to leadership roles, and a values-driven workplace that emphasizes treating others with respect, holding oneself accountable, and doing the right thing. QCD values diversity and is dedicated to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees, empowering them to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the company's mission.
We are currently seeking motivated and responsible Class A CDL Drivers to join our team in Romeoville. This position is a local driving role within the supply chain network, focusing on delivering food products efficiently and safely to restaurant customers. If you're looking for a stable, high-earning, career-building opportunity where you can be home daily and work within a supportive team, this position offers the perfect fit. As a Class A CDL Driver at QCD, you will operate diesel-powered tractor-trailers within local routes, ensuring timely deliveries with precision and care. The position requires handling touch-freight involving loading and unloading using hand trucks or pallet jacks, vehicle inspections, DOT compliance, and clear communication with dispatch and store personnel.
This role offers a supportive schedule with dispatch times between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., a four-days-on/three-days-off workweek, and unionized support via Teamsters 710. Drivers should be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and be able to handle repetitive lifting of over 75 pounds in multi-temperature environments including coolers and freezers. The pay starts at $38.70 per hour on weekdays and $40.70 per hour on weekends, including hourly premiums for the fifth and sixth days. Employees receive weekly paychecks every Friday and benefits such as health, dental, and vision coverage starting after just 30 days, a 401(k) plan, paid holidays, vacation, company-provided uniforms, and work shoes.
Joining QCD means becoming part of more than just a distribution company; it means joining a team dedicated to growth, career development, and making a positive impact both within the company and the communities it serves. This role is ideal for individuals committed to safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service, who want to grow and succeed alongside a supportive and experienced team.
