The CDL-A Driver is responsible for operating a tractor trailer or straight truck on multiple types of routes including intrastate, interstate, local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes. This position involves maintaining compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, conducting thorough safety checks of vehicles, managing efficient delivery schedules, and ensuring the products arrive at the customers’ locations in excellent condition.

The role at Performance Foodservice is a full-time commitment offering an average annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, depending on the assigned route. This position operates with a Monday through Friday schedule with daily dispatches between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM and typically involves 12-13 hour routes.
