This role is for a CDL-A Driver at PFG Customized Distribution. The position plays a vital role in America’s food supply chain by ensuring that food and food service products are delivered safely and on time to customers. With a minimum weekly guaranteed pay of $1,350 and an average annual pay ranging from $70,000 to $80,000, this job offers competitive compensation along with a sign-on bonus of $7,500, subject to terms. The work schedule involves a minimum of four days per week with dispatch times between 7 pm and 3 am, with days varying between Sunday and Saturday. The role includes team driving responsibilities, emphasizing collaboration and efficiency.

The CDL-A Driver is responsible for operating tractor trailers or straight trucks on intrastate, interstate, local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop routes. This requires adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, safety protocols, and company policies. Drivers are not only responsible for delivering food products but also act as the face of the company. This means building and maintaining lasting relationships with customers through professional communication and exemplary service.

They also manage unloading products, damage control, customer signatures, and cash or check collection when necessary.

In addition to driving duties, the role includes general housekeeping tasks such as keeping trailers clean and equipment secured after each shift. Drivers are expected to maintain accurate logs of their hours in compliance with federal and state regulations.
