Operating across the United States and serving clients in more than 40 countries, the company is committed to maintaining high standards in food delivery and customer satisfaction. The company fosters a safe, inclusive working environment supported by a culture of rewards, recognition, and respect, making it a dynamic place to grow a career in foodservice logistics.

The position of CDL-A Driver at PFG Customized Distribution plays an essential role in the company’s mission to support America’s food supply chain. This role demands a dependable and safety-conscious driver to transport food and food-related products using tractor-trailers or straight trucks. Drivers work primarily on intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and drive-and-drop routes, to ensure timely and accurate delivery. The employment opportunity is full time with a Monday to Friday schedule, and dispatch times between 11 pm and 2 am, providing predictable and stable working hours.

Compensation for the CDL-A Driver is competitive, with an average annual pay ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 and a guaranteed minimum weekly pay of $1,350. New hires receive a sign-on bonus of $7,500 for those with foodservice delivery experience and $5,000 for candidates without prior foodservice-related delivery experience. Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes Day 1 health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and much more.

In this role, drivers are the face of the company and are expected to build lasting relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers by providing professional and courteous service. Key duties include conducting vehicle safety inspections, complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and securing loads according to company safety policies. Drivers are also responsible for the accurate completion of delivery paperwork, damage control checks, and managing customer payments. Physical requirements include the ability to hand-lift and use equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to move product cases that range in weight from 10 to approximately 90 pounds.

PFG Customized Distribution is proud of its equal employment opportunity policy, ensuring a workplace free from discrimination and committed to diversity. The company welcomes applicants from varied backgrounds and offers opportunities for growth within the organization.
