Culture at PFG Customized Distribution emphasizes rewards, recognition, and respect, supporting a workforce dedicated to America's food distribution system.
This role is an entry-level driver trainee position designed for individuals who want to start a career in commercial driving within the food distribution industry. The trainee will learn to operate tractor trailers or straight trucks for intrastate or interstate routes, including local deliveries, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes. The role involves safely delivering and unloading various food and related products to customers, following all company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. It provides an excellent opportunity for those seeking a career path with growth potential in a dynamic supply chain and transportation environment.

They will learn to comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards, handle freight inspection and secure loads properly, and manage delivery paperwork accurately. The trainee will be responsible for ensuring secure transport of goods, interacting professionally with customers and colleagues, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The four-night work week with dispatch hours between 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. provides a structured schedule with a weekly minimum guarantee of $1,450, translating to an annual pay range between $80,000 to $90,000.
This position is ideal for individuals aged 21 and older who meet licensing requirements and are interested in developing expertise in commercial truck driving within a reputable company that values safety, professional growth, and employee well-being.
