We are currently seeking dedicated and professional Greyhound Bus Drivers to join our team. Drivers at Greyhound are tasked with more than simply operating a vehicle; they are the heart and soul of the journey, ensuring each passenger travels safely, comfortably, and efficiently. The hourly compensation for this position ranges from USD 27.53 to USD 31.28, making it not only a rewarding career in terms of experience but also competitively paid.

As a Greyhound Bus Driver, your responsibilities involve adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations while operating buses on predetermined routes and schedules. Your role is vital in maintaining the reliability and reputation of Greyhound’s services by conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly reporting any issues or incidents. You will provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers during boarding, exits, and with their belongings, ensuring their journey is as enjoyable and smooth as possible. Additionally, you will maintain detailed records of miles driven and fuel use, demonstrating accountability and adherence to company policies. This role also requires a readiness to respond appropriately to emergencies, following company protocols to protect all onboard.

This position demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a passion for safe driving combined with superior customer interaction skills. The scheduling may vary depending on regional needs, making flexibility an essential aspect of the job. Candidates must possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement 16 or higher and no air brake restrictions. A commitment to full-time employment is necessary because of the role's nature in providing consistent service to customers.

Job Duties

  • operate a bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
  • follow designated routes and schedules, making necessary adjustments when required
  • ensure the safety and comfort of passengers by providing assistance when needed
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition
  • report any maintenance issues, accidents, or incidents to the appropriate authorities
  • assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing their personal belongings
  • follow emergency procedures and respond to incidents in accordance with company protocols
  • keep records of miles driven, fuel usage, and other required documentation
  • stay updated on company policies and safety procedures
