Job Description
Our company is a well-established logistics and transportation service provider specializing in the efficient and safe delivery of products from warehouse facilities directly to customer locations. With a commitment to excellence, we pride ourselves on reliability and professionalism, ensuring that our customers receive their goods on time and in optimal condition. Our fleet comprises tractor trailers and non-CDL box trucks, operated by skilled drivers who uphold stringent safety and operational standards. As part of our dedicated team, you will contribute to seamless supply chain operations across various industries, including food service and retail, by delivering essential products with care and precision.
The role we are hiring for is that of a Tractor Trailer Driver responsible for transporting products safely and efficiently. This position requires operating a Class B commercial vehicle to deliver goods following assigned routes within set schedules. The driver will not only handle driving duties but also oversee unloading the cargo manually or with hand carts, adhering strictly to customer specifications and internal company standards. The delivery process extends beyond transportation, requiring attention to paperwork accuracy, including maintaining DOT logs, vehicle inspections, and invoice management. The driver also ensures compliance with food safety protocols, even under challenging weather conditions, maintaining sanitary conditions within vehicles and assisting with warehouse upkeep when needed.
A successful candidate will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with customers through excellent and courteous service, clear communication, and prompt reporting of any issues. You will be working within a dynamic environment that demands flexibility regarding schedules, including overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. The job requires physical stamina to handle products weighing up to 50 pounds manually and operate equipment such as hand carts and pallets safely. Safety and adherence to regulations such as DOT and Hazmat guidelines are paramount. This employment opportunity is ideal for individuals who possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License, have experience driving tractor trailers, and thrive in roles that blend driving proficiency with customer service and operational responsibilities. Our company values dependability, safety consciousness, and integrity in all our team members, fostering a supportive environment where your contributions are recognized and rewarded.
