Job Description

Our company is a trusted leader in logistics and product distribution, specializing in the efficient transportation of goods from warehouses to customer locations. Committed to excellence and customer satisfaction, we operate with a focus on safety, reliability, and professionalism. The organization employs a dedicated team of drivers who ensure timely delivery and maintain high standards in the handling and care of products, including food items that require strict adherence to safety protocols.

The available position is for a Tractor Trailer Driver who will play a crucial role in our distribution process. This role involves safely transporting products from the warehouse to various customer locations, ensuring deliveries are made on time and in accordance with customer requirements and company standards. The driver will be responsible not only for operating a Class B vehicle but also for unloading and handling products with care, sometimes manually or using equipment like hand carts, especially in challenging weather conditions or confined spaces.

The driver must also manage the return of damaged goods and customer returns, transporting these back to the warehouse efficiently. Completion of all necessary paperwork is a vital aspect of the role, including Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance reports, vehicle maintenance logs, and accurate invoice processing. This position requires adherence to stringent food safety protocols such as maintaining proper temperatures, inspecting products for damage, and preventing cross-contamination during transport and delivery.

Working in this role involves frequent interaction with customers, thus developing and maintaining positive relationships through excellent communication and courteous service is expected. The tractor trailer driver is also essential in reporting any deviations from planned routes, vehicle issues, or product concerns to management promptly. This proactive communication ensures smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

The role demands flexibility in work hours, often requiring overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime to meet customer demands. It requires physical stamina, as the driver will regularly lift and move heavy products and equipment and work in a variety of environmental conditions including extreme temperatures and variable weather. The work environment includes exposure to noise, mechanical parts, and occasional confined spaces.

Overall, this position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for those with a strong work ethic, responsibility, and a commitment to safety and customer service within a respected logistics and product delivery company. The compensation and employment type details are typically contingent on experience and company policy, offering competitive wages aligned with industry standards for Class B commercial drivers.
