Job Description

The hiring company is a well-established logistics and distribution firm specializing in the safe and efficient transportation of products, primarily engaging in tractor trailer deliveries. The company prides itself on maintaining high standards in safety, customer service, and operational excellence. Known for its commitment to employee safety and customer satisfaction, this organization operates with a strong focus on compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and industry best practices, particularly in handling specialized products that require strict temperature and sanitary conditions. As a transportation company deeply involved in supply chain logistics, their mission is to ensure timely deliveries while preserving product integrity and meeting stringent food safety standards when applicable.

The role open for recruitment is that of a Tractor Trailer Driver. This is a full-time position primarily focused on the safe and effective transportation of products from the warehouse to various customer locations along assigned routes. The driver will be responsible for delivering and unloading goods in accordance with company policies and customer expectations. Attention to detail is critical, as this includes verifying that products have been handled according to preferred work methods, accurately completing all required paperwork, and maintaining all safety and food safety protocols. The position demands an individual capable of managing both physical demands—such as handling products up to 50 pounds, operating hand carts, and maneuvering vehicles under varying environmental conditions—and administrative duties related to regulatory compliance and customer communication.

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in driving Class B vehicles including tractor trailers and box trucks and will be insurable under the company's vehicle operation standards. The job involves working irregular hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and potentially overtime, in order to meet the dynamic needs of customers. This individual should be adept at working independently with minimal supervision, solving problems on the go, and establishing strong relationships with customers through courteous communication and service. Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe delivery practices is essential. The job also entails performing vehicle inspections, maintaining equipment, and managing the integrity, safety, and sanitary condition of the entire delivery process.

Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably one year of driving experience or completion of a tractor trailer driving school, are encouraged to apply. A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License is mandatory, along with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. On the physical front, candidates must be able to meet the rigorous demands that this role entails, including lifting, climbing, reaching, and working in diverse weather conditions. This role offers a rewarding career for individuals eager to work in a challenging, fast-paced logistics environment with opportunities for growth and professional development. The company's culture fosters respect, safety, and continuous improvement, aligning with modern standards of employment and operational excellence.
