The role available at Sysco Lincoln, Inc. is for a Tractor Trailer Driver, a vital position responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to various customer locations. This position plays a key role in the supply chain by ensuring timely delivery of goods in compliance with customer invoices and company standards. The driver will manage a variety of delivery tasks including unloading products by hand or using equipment, handling returns and damaged goods, and maintaining accurate paperwork required by company and governmental regulations. This is a full-time position with no travel requirements outside the local area, offering an hourly wage starting at $23.95. The Tractor Trailer Driver will work an overnight schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed to meet customer demand. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- valid Class B Commercial Driver's License

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Safely transports product from warehouse to customer location according to assigned route
- unloads product from trailer by hand or using hand cart in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas
- picks up, loads, and unloads damaged goods and customer returns
- completes all paperwork according to company and governmental guidelines, including DOT logs and vehicle maintenance reports
- ensures food safety protocols are met by maintaining proper temperatures and inspecting product
- maintains sanitary conditions in tractor, trailer, warehouse and yard
- follows preferred work methods and reports any unsafe conditions to management
- maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment
- develops and establishes good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service
- communicates with management about route deviations, trailer or loading issues
- transports products picked up via backhauls and line hauls
- works assigned schedule including overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call as needed
- performs other duties as assigned by management
