The CDL B Driver position located at the Tallahassee, Florida retail shop offers an exciting opportunity to join the Airgas team in delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers safely and efficiently. This is a full-time role with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, starting at 7 a.m., with weekend support as needed. The position is home daily, offering the chance to work within a predictable routine and be part of a team that values safety, customer service, and operational excellence.

This role primarily involves the loading, unloading, safe securing, and timely delivery of compressed gas cylinders and supplies, often using a hand cart to transport goods on customer sites. It requires physical activity, including regularly lifting weights up to 75 pounds and moving over 125 pounds using material handling equipment. Additionally, pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections are part of the daily routine to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.

As a CDL B driver with Airgas, you will build and maintain professional and courteous relationships with customers, play a critical role in the successful execution of delivery schedules, and contribute directly to the company’s mission to provide outstanding customer service and uphold safety standards. Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT and airbrake endorsements
  • Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card and endorsements
  • No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
  • No driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances within the last 7 years
  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
  • Ability to regularly lift 75 pounds and move more than 125 pounds with aid of material handling equipment
  • Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or certificate completion from trucking school in last 12 months

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT and airbrake endorsements
  • Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card and endorsements
  • No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
  • No driving while under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances within the last 7 years
  • Ability to regularly lift 75 pounds and move more than 125 pounds using material handling equipment
  • Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or proof of training certificate from trucking school within the last 12 months
  • Forklift experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies
  • Nurture courteous and professional relationships with customers
  • Support deliveries in a timely manner
  • Safely secure and unsecure cylinders
  • Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart
  • Frequently move in and out of the vehicle throughout the day
