We are currently hiring a CDL B Driver in Orlando, Florida, specializing in medical deliveries. This is a pivotal role within Airgas, focusing on the safe, timely, and professional delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers. The successful candidate will operate company-provided CLASS B commercial vehicles equipped to transport hazardous materials (HAZMAT), ensuring that all deliveries are compliant with safety regulations and customer requirements. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy a role combining driving with physically active, hands-on work, including daily loading and unloading of gas cylinders and related supplies. The driver will regularly interface with customers, delivering high standards of service that reflect Airgas's commitment to respect, diversity, and inclusion.

The CDL B Driver position offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule starting at 6 AM, with weekend support as needed. Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and airbrake endorsements
  • Hazmat is required
  • Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card and endorsements
  • No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last three years or a combination of one traffic conviction and one at-fault accident
  • No driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances in the last seven years
  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
  • Must be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with material handling equipment
  • Must have one year of CDL driving experience in the last five years or provide a certificate of completion from trucking school within the last 12 months

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT and Airbrake endorsements
  • One year of CDL driving experience in the last five years or a certificate of completion from trucking school within the last 12 months
  • Ability to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with material handling equipment
  • Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements
  • No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last three years or one of each
  • No driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances within the last seven years
  • Ability to work in a drug-free environment
  • Forklift experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies
  • Nurture courteous and professional relationships with customers
  • Support deliveries in a timely manner
  • Safely secure and unsecure cylinders
  • Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart
  • Frequently move in and out of the vehicle
