The company is currently seeking a CDL B Driver - Vehicle Porter to join their Shop Team, contributing to the continued growth and success of Cox Fleet. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of operations by ensuring that commercial vehicles are transported safely and efficiently between maintenance shops and customers. The CDL B Driver - Vehicle Porter will also pick up and deliver parts, fostering smooth daily operations within the maintenance environment. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field
  • Or any level degree/certification beyond HS diploma/GED in a related discipline
  • Or 5 years' experience in a related field
  • Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • Between 1 and 3 years of CDL driving experience
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment
  • Ability to read/follow maps, routes, and GPS system
  • Experience demonstrating ability to provide exceptional customer service to external and internal contacts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with local geography
  • Candidate must comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations
  • Must pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical
  • Current DOT medical card with more than four months until expiration acceptable
  • Candidate must be 21 years or older due to interstate commerce regulations
  • Safe driver with 3 year MVR review required
  • Must hold valid state-of-residence driver's license and maintain Driver Qualification File

Job Qualifications

  • Familiarity with local geography
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels

Job Duties

  • Shuttle commercial vehicles to be repaired or post repairs between our maintenance shop and our customers in the surrounding area - be home every evening
  • Pick up and deliver parts from local parts stores/distribution centers back to our maintenance shop
  • Provide excellent customer service by going above and beyond customers' expectations
  • Contributes to achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals and objectives
  • Maintains a safe and compliant working environment
  • Attends management meetings when requested
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements
