FreshPoint Bix Produce is currently seeking local CDL-B delivery drivers to join their team. Drivers will be responsible for safely transporting fresh produce to a variety of customers, ensuring both accuracy and timeliness of deliveries.
The CDL-B Delivery Driver role includes operating straight trucks on assigned routes, loading and unloading products by hand or with equipment, and maintaining communication with management regarding delivery discrepancies or customer concerns. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of route delivery experience and be capable of safely handling and lifting products weighing up to 80 pounds occasionally. The position requires a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License, with Class A preferred.
This full-time role involves shifts from early morning (between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM) until completion of daily routes, Monday through Saturday, with Sundays and one additional day off. Drivers will perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and company policies. Safety is a top priority, with comprehensive training, uniforms, and a variety of safety programs provided.

Job Requirements
- Frequent lifting of product up to 50 lbs during the shift, infrequent lifting to 80 lbs
- Must be able to climb on and off the box of the truck
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Valid Commercial Driver's License Class B or higher
- One year of route delivery experience or equivalent
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ability to follow DOT regulations and company safety policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- One year of route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
- Valid Commercial Driver's License - Class B, Class A preferred
Job Duties
- Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects
- Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times
- Unload product from trailer by hand or using a hand cart and place in designated customer storage areas, including transporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions
- Frequently lift, push, or move product weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Contact management for authorization when discrepancies are on invoices
- Communicate all errors and returns
- Call in when a customer does not receive their entire order
- Handle customer complaints professionally
- Handle company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules, and perform a pre-trip inspection
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities according to Department of Transportation regulations and company policies
