The role of the CDL-B Delivery Driver at FreshPoint Bix Produce is critical to ensuring customers receive the freshest produce in a timely and efficient manner. Drivers operate within a cross-dock distribution model, running daily routes with frequent stops to deliver products using hand trucks or manual loading techniques. These routes begin early in the morning and conclude once all deliveries are completed. The position requires physical stamina, responsibility, and professionalism to manage loading and unloading products that can weigh up to 100 pounds, operate company vehicles while following strict safety protocols, and maintain excellent communication with customers and management. Drivers also perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations and company policies. In addition to transportation duties, drivers may assist with loading trucks, palletizing products, and other duties assigned by supervisors to support overall warehouse and transportation efficiency.
