Job Requirements

  • 6 months commercial driving experience
  • High school diploma or GED or state approved equivalent
  • Valid CDL B
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and stack product cases and freight of varying size and weight throughout shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or state approved equivalent
  • Valid CDL B license
  • At least 6 months of commercial driving experience
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move product cases typically weighing 10-90 pounds

Job Duties

  • Performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Reports all safety issues and repairs needed
  • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
  • Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Performs count check of loaded items and verifies against customer invoices
  • Completes all required paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer when necessary
  • Drives to deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule
  • Unloads products and transports items into designated storage areas
  • Performs damage control checks on items and reports issues to supervisor
  • Verifies delivery with customer and obtains proper signatures
  • Collects payment where required
  • Loads customer returns onto trailer and secures doors
  • Ensures tractor, trailer, and freight security
  • Unloads damaged goods and returns, completing necessary paperwork
  • Completes daily hours of service logs per DOT and company requirements
  • Maintains cleanliness of tractor, loading dock area, and trailers
  • Secures all equipment and paperwork at shift end
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
