The Class A Bulk Tanker Driver role at Linde is a vital part of the company’s logistics operations, responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of industrial gases such as liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, CO2, and hydrogen to customer sites. This position requires operating tractor-trailer tankers and adhering strictly to safety standards, laws, and company protocols related to the transportation of cryogenic materials. Drivers must conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, perform trailer coupling and uncoupling, and handle the connection and disconnection of transfer hoses with care to ensure secure couplings and proper handling of cryogenic tanks, hoses, and fittings.

Throughout deliveries, candidates will be expected to monitor pressure levels and temperature readings meticulously to guarantee safe unloading practices. Maintaining accurate shipping documentation, logbooks, and records in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies is also essential. Job Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
  • 3+ years of tractor-trailer driving or 2+ years of tanker trailer driving
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations for hazardous materials
  • Ability to conduct safety inspections and maintain detailed records
  • Experience handling cryogenic materials is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and safety adherence
  • Ability to work a 5 days on, 2 days off schedule
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with customers and team members

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tractor-trailer driving or 2+ years of tanker trailer driving
  • Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements

Job Duties

  • Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Trailer coupling and uncoupling (drop and hook) when needed
  • Connect and disconnect transfer hoses, ensuring secure couplings and proper handling of cryogenic tanks, hoses, and fittings
  • Monitor pressure levels and temperature readings during delivery to ensure safe unloading
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during loading, unloading, and handling of cryogenic gases
  • Ensure hazardous material shipping orders/papers are in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation, logbooks, and records in compliance with DOT and company policies
  • Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
  • Maintain a professional partnership with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
