This position is for a Food and Food Service Delivery Driver at Core-Mark. Delivery drivers play a crucial role within the food supply chain by ensuring that customers receive their products on time, in excellent condition, and with professional service. These drivers act as the face of Core-Mark, building lasting relationships with customers and representing the company's values of reliability and excellence. The role requires a CDL A License and a clean driving record for the past three years, reflecting the importance of safety and professionalism in this job.

The job offers a competitive annual salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 along with an attractive benefits package, including day one health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with dispatch times beginning at 5:00 AM and two overnight shifts weekly. Job Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or hold valid DOT health card or able to secure new one
  • Ability to hand-lift and utilize material handling equipment
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday, including two overnights per week
  • Clean driving record for past 3 years

  • Valid CDL-A license and must be 21 years or older
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or hold a valid current DOT health card or be able to secure a new DOT health card
  • Ability to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and other equipment to move and stack product cases/freight
  • Product weight generally ranges between 10-35 pounds up to approximately 60-90 pounds depending on location

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Report all safety issues and repairs required
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products loaded
  • Check and complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect money where required
  • Load customer returns on trailer and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork
  • Perform daily record of hours of service and enter in log per DOT, state, and company requirements
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clean
  • Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at end of shift
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
